Baptismal Preparation Classes
If
your family has recently had a new member born and you
need to have your son or daughter baptized, then it is
necessary to schedule for baptismal preparation classes
six weeks prior to your baby’s baptism. Fr. William
Hennecke and Tom Healey are conducting a two-part
preparation series for baptism to take place in
consecutive weeks. Classes meet in the 4th
Grade St. Francis of Assisi Catechist Room of the parish

Reconciliation (First Penance) & Eucharist (First Holy
Communion):
The
sacraments of Reconciliation and the Eucharist are both
celebrated by children as part of their second grade
parish school of religion (P.S.R.) classes, in which
they receive education and preparation for receiving
these sacraments. In all other cases, these
sacraments, including Confirmation, are received when
celebrating entrance into the Roman Catholic faith of
the Church at Easter Vigil, where preparation takes
place during the year through the Rite of Christian
Initiation of Adults (R.C.I.A.). For more

Confirmation:
The
sacraments of Confirmation is celebrated by high school
aged children as part of their parish school of religion
(P.S.R.) classes, in which they receive education and
preparation for receiving this sacrament. In all
other cases, this sacrament, including Reconciliation
and the Eucharist, is received when celebrating entrance
into the Roman Catholic faith of the Church at Easter

Marriage:
If you want to be married and
celebrate this sacrament in the Church, please contact Fr.
Rick L. Jones as soon as possible so that necessary preparations can begin. You need to
be a registered parishioner of three months and the Diocese
of Springfield-Cape Girardeau requires a minimum of six
months for the preparation process.
